At 'half-time' in BayImmuNet's funding programme, the members of BayImmuNet and representatives of the network's partner companies held a joint project symposium in Würzburg in order to share information on progress made and knowledge gained from the projects.
Six of the 16 projects are ready to apply their scientific knowledge to clinical research studies, or have already started to do so. Nine projects are currently undergoing interim analysis and evaluation with a view to prolongation.
At the same time, the symposium offered the opportunity to establish and strengthen ties between science and industry. The BayImmuNet Coordinating Committee had held discussions with the company representatives in advance, with reference to joint efforts for funding clinical studies.
